MELANIN MADAM: HOLLY

21 year old Holly is very charming, sweet, and beautiful. She compels a charisma about herself that is so alluring. Holly is a loving mother to a beautiful little girl, who means the absolute world to her. She is a God fearing woman and believes that all her dreams and goals will come true if she keeps her faith in him. Holly is destent to be a dental assistant and will be graduating soon. She has many dreams and goals, but her greatest aspiration in life is to be successful and provide a better upbringing for London (her daughter) than she had...

Holly and I met 8 years ago, back in high school freshman year. I remember the moment we met, we clicked instantly. Like I mentioned previously, she was always so sweet and fun to be around. I remember Holly being the youngest of the group, but was gifted with wisdom and knowledge before her time. I always admired the mystique that she would keep about herself, also her figure 8 physique . Talk about GOALS! Although Holly and I grew apart for a couple of years, we still laugh and talk as if we have never been apart. I truly feel so blessed to have my good friend back...

Recently Holly and I had a conversation about the challenges she faced growing up. "I've been judged, talked about, and lied on...but over all I have accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish so far..." Holly said as she explained to me why she is so comfortable and confident in her skin. Holly also opened up about her childhood growing up. "I was neglected as a young child...basically left to raise myself". Holly's biological mother was a single mother of 4 but decided to release her responsibility of her youngest child, which was Holly. She expressed to me how hard it was for her to cope and move on from a situation like this. But through it all, Holly loves her life and understands that God would have never put her through that situation if he didn't believe she was strong enough to get through it. Holly's story is very touching and motivating. She wants everyone to love themselves no matter what and to always build their confidence. Holly has goals to motivate her daughter the way she has taught herself to be motivated. Also she strives to be the best mother she could be. By far, I think she's doing an amazing job.
