22 year old Noelle is a very chill, laid back person. But don't let that fool you, she really enjoys going out for drinks and turning up at kickbacks. On Noelle's free time she loves perfecting her web designing skills and spending time with her friends and family. She also loves to travel, try new activities, and gain new experiences. Noelle is very goal oriented and believes in working hard to achieve anything and making sure that her dreams come true. One of many of her dreams is to continue her education to obtain another degree in software engineering and/or air traffic control. She also has a goal of starting a lipstick line catered to women of color. In the next 10 years, Noelle sees herself with a successful makeup line and a flourishing career as an engineer...
Noelle and I have been close friends for 8 plus years. I always described us as Yin and Yang because of our opposite personalities, but we always seemed to mesh really well and balance each other out. I know that I can always call her for anything, especially for a good laugh. She has always been the person I know I could joke around with then jump to a serious conversation about our dreams and goals in life. Noelles confidence is something I've admired about her for years now. In many ways she has taught me to love and embrace some of the flaws that I have. And for that, I thank her. A friendship like ours I will never give up...
"Being a black woman is not easy" Noelle mentioned to me as we had a conversation discussing the issues black women/people face. She went on to tell me that she feels like black people miss out on a lot of opportunities solely based off the color of their skin. But even though she feels that way, she still loves and embrace her skin tone. we also conversed about the racial challenges she went through growing up. "Whenever someone would say anything negative about my lips, I would start to feel less of myself..." Noelle explained. She feels that having to only look a certain way to be considered beautiful is a huge issue in todays society. But overall Noelle loves the woman that she has became and the skin she's in. And lastly, Noelle wants every black woman to love themselves and uplift other black women. "I love being black... it is beautiful".
